MRI Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY is seeking an MRI Technologist for a travel assignment. You will work 4x10-hour shifts, Tuesday through Friday from 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM, with no on-call or holiday requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform non-contrast MRI exams including routine MSK, neuro, spine, and occasional body imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort and compliance
• Coordinate with physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
• Document all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality
• Perform patient care tasks as needed during your shift

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience
• Hands-on experience with GE or Siemens MRI scanners required
• BLS certification through American Heart Association
• ARRT certification or equivalent preferred; willingness to obtain after starting
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Ability to stand for extended periods

Assignment Details:

You will complete 2 weeks of full-time 40-hour orientation before beginning your solo shift schedule. During orientation, you must be flexible to work days and/or evenings as needed. The assignment runs for 89 days, starting November 9, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,957.
