MRI Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

You'll work as an MRI Technologist at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, NY, on a travel assignment lasting 91 days, beginning October 19, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

Monday through Friday overnight shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. You'll be assigned to one MRI room and handle approximately 20 patient visits per day. Float coverage within the facility is required.

Patient Population and Scope

You'll serve adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatric patients across multiple clinical areas including abdomen, breast, chest, brain, face and soft tissue neck, cervical spine, lumbar spine, and thoracic spine.

Required Qualifications

• 1 year of MRI Technologist experience minimum
• New York state license, in hand at time of submission
• BLS and ARRT R certifications required
• EPIC charting experience (hard requirement)
• Current CPR certification

Technical Skills and Equipment

You must have demonstrated proficiency in diffusion imaging (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, image post-processing including apparent diffusion coefficient mapping and subtraction techniques, multiplanar reconstruction (MRP), and perfusion imaging. Equipment experience required includes GE, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba, and PACS systems.

Compliance and Support

Isolation precautions and PPE compliance are mandatory. You'll have access to interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services.

Assignment Details

First-time travelers are accepted. You must reside more than 75 miles from the facility. Weekly pay is $2,989 for this 5x8 night shift position.
