OR Registered Nurse Job in Indianapolis, IN

IU Health Methodist Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room in Indianapolis, IN. This is a 4x10 day shift position with a 91-day contract starting October 5, 2026. You will earn $2,706 per week.

Role Overview

You will work in a high-volume surgical environment with an average daily census of 70–80 patients across 21–24 operating rooms. Your responsibilities include circulating (scrubbing preferred), and you must be well-rounded across most surgical specialties. You will float within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed. Floating is required.

Surgical Areas

Core unit coverage includes neuro, orthopedic, general, plastics, gynecology, ENT, genitourinary, trauma, and robotics procedures. You will work with the da Vinci Xi Surgical System and handle cases ranging from laparoscopic and colorectal robotic procedures to craniotomies, total joint replacements, Whipples, and urologic robotic cases. Level I Trauma experience is required; CV and Transplant cases are excluded.

Schedule & Requirements

Monday through Friday scheduling is standard, with call and/or holidays required. A weekend-only position is also available. Six on-call shifts per 6-week period are required (may vary), and you must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. No block scheduling. Patient populations include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of OR experience
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
