OR Registered Nurse Job in Indianapolis, IN

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at IU Health Riley Hospital for Children, a pediatric surgical facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is a travel nursing assignment running 84 days, beginning October 19, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (or optional 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM)
• 4 call shifts per 6-week period
• Weekly pay: $2,706
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Requirements

• Current Indiana nursing license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years OR nursing experience (3 years preferred)
• Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Neurosurgery experience required (adult experience accepted)
• Level I trauma experience required
• Scrub experience preferred
• Cerner charting system experience preferred

Surgical Case Experience Required

• General, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Plastics, and ENT
• Equipment: Stealth, DaVinci, and ROSA systems

Scope of Practice

You will care for a pediatric population ranging from neonates, infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents to some adults. Surgical procedures range from minor to highly complex, including ECMO, burn procedures, tumor resections, and trauma cases. Floating within Riley Hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals is required for all travel staff.
