Job Details:

• 3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with weekend availability preferred
• Guaranteed hours vary: 8 and 10-hour shifts equal 40 hours per workweek; 3x12-hour shifts equal 36 hours per workweek; 4x12-hour shifts equal 48 hours per workweek
• Call requirement of 40-60 hours per 6-week period
• Float required to multi-specialty areas covering all surgery types; may occasionally float to assist with pediatric transplants (pediatric experience preferred but not required)
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Minimum 2 years of strong transplant experience required, including kidney and liver experience
• Unit focuses solely on abdominal transplants including kidney, pancreas, liver, and intestinal/multi-visceral procedures
• Charting system: Cerner (preferred)
• Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
• Required certifications: BLS, Regulatory Charting for Transplants
• Required skills include: transplant surgery scrubbing, Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, laparoscopic assisted procedures, organ donation, robotic surgery (colorectal, gastrointestinal, transplant), cell saver, specimen handling/labeling, laser safety, radiation safety, fire safety, latex allergy awareness, and universal protocol (time out) procedure
• Indiana residents are not eligible for this position
• Must have Indiana license, temporary license, or compact license at time of start
