Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with hours of operation from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM; urgent/emergent cases after 7:00 PM only
• Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• On-call required: 3 overnight shifts in a 4-week period; 1-2 weekend call shifts in a 4-week period
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• Weekend availability required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Circulator skills required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• Patient population is primarily adult; no pediatric population
• Daily census of 25 to 35 cases across 11 main operating rooms
• Surgical specialties include robotic, orthopedic, general, GYN, vascular, urology, and neurology (ortho spine)
• Required skills include abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, appendectomy, bilateral tubal ligation, carotid endarterectomy, cervical fusions, cholecystectomy, closed reduction of fractures, colon resection, cystectomy, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion, nephrectomy, open reduction of fractures, ortho/spine, spinal fusion, total joint replacement, and transurethral resection of the prostate
• Interdisciplinary support includes rapid response teams and pharmacy
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Active Florida or Compact license required
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility
