Telemetry RN Job in Garden City, KS

You will work as a float pool Registered Nurse in the Telemetry specialty across CSH Mountain Region facilities in southwest Kansas. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting August 3, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,177.28.

Schedule & Assignments

• Work three 12-hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
• Float within Zone 4, covering a 60-mile radius from Garden City center
• Rotate between three facilities: Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital (Ulysses), St. Catherine-Dodge City, and St. Catherine-Garden City
• Expect 6–9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule cycle
• Schedules released 4–6 weeks in advance; assignments may be single-facility weekly rotations or Just-In-Time placements with 1–2 hours notice
• Rare call or standby for low census; hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
• May be placed in holiday rotation

Clinical Scope

• Float between multiple units: General MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
• May float to low-acuity ICU holds, PCU/Step-Down, and MS-Tele depending on skillset
• Care for adult and geriatric populations with cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, post-surgical, and general medicine diagnoses
• Titrate Heparin drips as needed
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:5–6 based on acuity
• Work with EPIC charting system and Alaris infusion pumps

Requirements

• Valid RN license and minimum 2 years Med-Surg/Telemetry experience within the last 3 years
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Available for one week of in-state orientation before assignment begins
• All time-off requests must be submitted prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior neurology experience
• Alaris pump and EPIC system experience
