Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts with shift times of 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement as needed
• Holiday requirement as needed
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Charge RN position available on the unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6/7 with CNA support at the same ratio
• Virtual nurse support available at a 1:30 ratio under the new Virtually Integrated Care (VIC) dyad model
• Common patient diagnoses include medical, surgical, and orthopedic cases
• Heparin drips administered; no other titratable drips
• Telemetry available on the floor with a centralized telemetry station
• Respiratory therapy available 24 hours on the floor
• Floating to PCU or Burn unit may be required
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Pass/fail open book exam during orientation requiring a minimum score of 90% to pass
• Orientation consists of one week of classroom training followed by two 12-hour shifts on the floor
• BSN not required
• Required certification: BLS
