Emergency Room RN Job in Tallahassee, FL

HCA Florida Capital Hospital is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment in the Emergency Department. You will work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 4x12 schedule, with a preferred pattern of three shifts per week and 48 guaranteed hours. Weekly pay is $2,306, with your 4-week schedule posted 2 weeks before your October 9, 2026 start date.

Role Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4 in a 39-bed Emergency Department
• Document patient information using the MediTech system
• Perform 30-minute to 1-hour patient rounding and bedside shift reports
• Assist with intubation and emergency lifesaving procedures
• Perform procedures including chest tubes, moderate sedation, lumbar puncture, laceration repair, and blood product administration
• Operate equipment including Crash Carts, Level One, Alaris Pumps, and Dash bedside cardiac monitors
• Demonstrate strong multi-tasking, throughput focus, and teamwork skills

Unit Environment

You will work alongside one unit secretary and 2–3 techs on the floor. The department has a floating policy for the ER hold unit during capacity periods, though this occurs rarely during summer months.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Black scrubs required
