Emergency Room RN Job in Tallahassee, FL

Join HCA Florida Capital Hospital as a Registered Nurse in our 39-bed Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 16, 2026, offering you the opportunity to work in a fast-paced acute care setting with strong clinical support and clear expectations.

Role and Schedule

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4x12 schedule with a preferred pattern of three shifts per week
• 48 guaranteed hours approved for travel
• Four-week schedules posted two weeks prior to your start date

Clinical Environment

• Patient ratio of 1:4 in a well-equipped Emergency Department
• Unit support includes one secretary and 2–3 techs on the floor
• Access to Crash Carts, Level One transfusion systems, Alaris infusion pumps, and Dash bedside cardiac monitors
• Documentation through MediTech system

Responsibilities

• Perform 30-minute to 1-hour patient rounding and bedside shift reporting
• Assist with chest tubes, moderate sedation, lumbar punctures, laceration repair, and blood product administration
• Support intubation and emergency lifesaving procedures as needed
• Demonstrate strong multitasking and throughput focus with excellent teamwork

Floating and Coverage

• May hold ER when unit reaches capacity; this floating occurs rarely during summer months

Requirements

• Minimum two years of Emergency Room experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Black scrubs required

Compensation

• Weekly pay: $2,306
