ED RN Job in Tallahassee, FL

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking an RN for their Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting November 9, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,302.

Schedule and Staffing:

• Work 3 shifts per week at 12 hours each, primarily nights (3:00 PM–3:00 AM)
• Partial self-scheduling available
• Four weekend shifts required per schedule cycle
• One on-call 12-hour shift per 4-week cycle (rotated by management, waivable with bi-weekly extra shifts)
• Holiday requirements follow facility policy for all staff
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years clinical experience with 2 years in emergency nursing
• Prior experience in a busy trauma center, 50+ bed ER, and teaching facility
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Care for patients of all ages across all diagnoses: respiratory, cardiac, neuro, and trauma
• Administer critical drips including TPA, vasopressors, vasodilators, inotropes, anti-hypertensives, sedatives, and anti-dysrhythmics
• Operate specialized equipment: moderate sedation delivery, phlebotomy, IV starts, ventilators (Maquet), IV pumps (Hospira Plum 360), hypothermia therapy (Arctic Sun), rapid infuser (Belmont), and Sapphire pumps
• Share phlebotomy responsibilities with patient care technicians
• Triage patients in rooms during first assignment; may transition to Triage Area after 13 weeks
• Assist trauma team as second pair of hands (non-primary role)
• No floating or charge nurse responsibilities

Required Certifications and Skills:

• Florida or Compact nursing license
• AHA-BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• ENPC (required after 1 year in ER)
• CPI (required after first 13-week assignment)
• Advanced Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam

Preferred Certifications: ATCN and CEN

Systems and Environment:

• Documentation: Cerner
• Medication system: Pyxis
• Dress code: Royal blue scrubs with facility policy guidelines on shoes, jewelry, hair, beard, and nail polish

Orientation: 3 to 4 days provided.
