Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment on the Medical-Surgical Orthopedics unit (4 East)
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• No on-call requirements
• Rotating weekend schedule required
• Patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 on days and 1:6 or 1:7 on nights
• Work on a 32-bed unit alongside a team including charge nurses, staff nurses, and PCTs
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Acute care experience required, preferably in med-surg
• Flexibility with schedule required
• Meditech charting experience preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Work with equipment including PCAs, on-Q pumps, Hoyer lift, traction, and wound vacs
• Perform and assist with procedures including neurosurgeries (kyphoplasty, decompression, laminectomy), fracture repairs and IM nailing, general surgery, bariatric surgery, bladder sling, and hysterectomy
• Nursing skill set including NGT tubes, IV placement, and foley management preferred
• Strong time management skills and team-oriented attitude essential
