Respiratory Therapist Job in Tallahassee, FL

You'll work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist on a 91-day travel assignment at HCA Florida Capital Hospital in Tallahassee. This is a night shift position, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with three 12-hour shifts per week and rotating weekends.

Your responsibilities include managing patients across all inpatient units, including two 10-bed ICUs. You'll perform aerosol treatments, BiPAP management, and ventilator management. Advanced procedures within your scope are intubation, arterial line insertion, and bedside bronchoscopy assistance.

Required experience includes critical care, emergency care, and ICU background. Level 2 NICU and pediatrics experience are within scope for this role.

Equipment you'll work with includes:

• Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators
• Vapotherm
• Philips V60+
• Siemens EPOC bedside ABG analyzers
• Various ventilators and BiPAPs

The facility uses Meditech for documentation. You'll participate in daily nursing unit rounding and interdisciplinary team collaboration, using the AIDET communication framework to enhance patient experience.

Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP.

Dress code is scrubs. You'll earn $1,521 weekly. Your assignment begins August 20, 2026.
