Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts
• Float required if needed to other like units or nearby hospitals
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Patient diagnoses include orthopedics and bariatric cases on a telemetry unit
• Night shift patient ratio of 6:1 and day shift patient ratio of 4-5:1
• Unit consists of 25 beds with a daily census of 20
• Medication system: Pyxis
• Charting system: EPIC - minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Required skills include blood product administration, central line care and management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, telemetry, EKG, nasal cannula and oxygen administration, and peripheral line care and management
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and SC RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• 3 years of experience within the specialty required for first-time travelers
