ED RN Job in Highlands, NC

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN for a travel position in the Emergency Department at Highlands-Cashiers Hospital in Highlands, NC. This is a 91-day assignment starting September 15, 2026.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
• Weekly pay: $1,898
• Setting: 7-bed emergency department
• Staffing model: 2 nurses on day shift, 2 on night shifts, with mid-shift coverage (10:00 AM–10:00 PM) running seasonally May through September

Responsibilities

• Deliver emergency care following ENA patient ratio guidelines
• Perform standard emergency department procedures
• Document patient care using the Cerner EMR system
• Float to med/surg when necessary (floating is minimized)
• Rotate weekends with no on-call except during low-volume flexing periods
• Work with standard emergency department equipment

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC, ENPC, NRP, CEN, CPEN, CTRN

What to Expect

You will work in a collaborative environment where patient care is structured around established guidelines and team support. Navy scrubs are required. A customer service-focused approach is preferred. Weekend rotations are part of the schedule, and you may be asked to flex into other departments during periods of lower volume.
