PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Details:

• Implement components of patient care and obtain data related to treatments provided
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to modify care plans as necessary
• Assist in the treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to end-of-life patients
• Help patients stretch and exercise targeted muscle groups
• Read and follow instructions provided by the Physical Therapist
• Work directly with the Physical Therapist to assist patients throughout treatment
• Communicate with families to identify the best at-home care techniques
• Keep the physical therapy area clean and organized
• Assist with moving patients from wheelchairs or walkers to the physical therapy area
• Complete administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and filing paperwork
• Teach patients techniques such as balance training
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
• Active PTA license required
• Required certification: BLS
• Missouri state license required
