Opportunity:

PT - Physical Therapist Acute Care

Job Details:

• Day shift hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with possible variation of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Up to 4 weekend shifts per month with specific schedule discussed during interview
• May float to other general medicine floors within the hospital
• Primarily treats geriatric patient population on general medicine floors within an acute care environment
• High acuity patients within a regional referral center setting
• Up to 8 patient visits per day
• Daily census of approximately 300 patients
• Scheduling type is block scheduling
• Previous charge experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Must be located more than 65 miles from facility (address on driver's license to site address)
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
• Louisiana state license or compact license required and must be in hand upon submittal
• Required skills include: Acute Care, Adaptive Devices, AROM/AAROM/PROM, Gait Training, Geriatrics, Orthopedics, Neurology, Post Stroke Rehabilitation, Total Hip Replacement, Total Knee Replacement, Spinal Cord Injury, Vestibular, Vital Sign Monitoring, and additional related clinical competencies
