Cath Lab Technologist Job in Douglasville, GA

Douglas Hospital is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a day shift position in Douglasville, GA. You will work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a random day off during the week to equal 40 hours per week. This is a 91-week travel assignment starting October 12, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,072.

Role Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiovascular procedures
• Function in monitoring, scrubbing, or circulating roles as needed
• Maintain sterile technique throughout all procedures
• Operate specialized cardiovascular equipment safely and efficiently
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers and confirm written orders and consent
• Prepare and organize supplies and equipment for procedures
• Transport patients and ensure privacy and comfort
• Participate in Cath or EP call rotation once appropriately oriented and checked off on clinical and operational competencies

Required Qualifications

• Prior Cath Lab experience required
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in a medical setting
• High School Diploma or GED
• BLS (AHA or ARC) certification required upon hire
• ACLS certification required within 180 days of hire
• Basic knowledge of cardiovascular catheterization or electrophysiology procedures, patient positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection
• Basic knowledge of hemodynamics, intracardiac electrograms, and electrophysiology equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Health Science
• Knowledge of electrocardiography, coronary heart disease, and cardiac anatomy and physiology

Additional Information

• On-call responsibilities required with a 30-minute response time
• Work alongside interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and cardiologists
• Surgical scrubs provided on site
