ED RN Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 10, 2026, with a schedule of 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, working nights from 2:45 PM to 3:15 AM.

About the Role

The Emergency Department operates with 101 beds in a high-volume setting. You will care for medical patients at a typical ratio of 4:1 and manage ED behavioral holds at ratios up to 7:1. Every other weekend scheduling is required, with flexibility to meet department needs. Block scheduling is not available. You must be open to floating across all sections within the ED.

You will document using the Cerner electronic health record system, operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors, and follow AIDET patient experience standards while keeping patient boards updated throughout each visit.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting
• Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED with over 100,000 visits is preferred
• Required certifications before your start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Navy scrubs required

Compensation
