PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• Expected to work some holidays
• Unit serves adult and geriatric patient populations
• 24-bed Progressive Care Unit with a daily census of 24
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care and management, chest tube management, CVA care, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, cardiac drip management, nasal cannula and oxygen administration, PCA management, peripheral and PICC line management, post cardiac angiogram and post MI care, pre and post cardiac catheterization, pre and post cardiac surgery care, pre and post hemodialysis management, renal failure management, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drain management, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care and management, traumatic brain injury care, and wound care and wound vac management
