ED Registered Nurse Job in Utica, NY

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at MVHS Inc. in Utica, NY. This is a travel nursing position with an 89-day duration, starting September 7, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Night shift: 2:30 PM to 3:00 AM
• Weekly pay: $2,457.18

Unit Overview

The 64-bed Emergency Department includes 2 triage beds, 40 acute care beds, 6 super track beds, 2 trauma beds, 10 clinical decision unit beds, and 6 psychiatric beds. You will care for patients across all age groups—newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics—with common diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Operate specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
• Float to other units as needed
• Wear navy blue scrubs

Requirements

• Active New York nursing license with NURSYS verification
• Minimum 2+ years of emergency department experience with some pediatrics experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (must be in hand at submission)
• EMR experience with EPIC required
• Skills checklist matching ED specialty required
• Up-to-date resume documenting ED and travel experience required
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred
