PCU RN Job in Asheville, NC

You'll join Mission Hospital's Progressive Care Unit on the E3 floor of Heart Tower as a registered nurse. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 24, 2026, offering 3x12 night shifts (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) at $2,102.40 weekly.

Unit Overview

The 15-bed PCU maintains 3–4:1 patient ratios with a structured team on nights: one free charge nurse, four RNs, and one PCT. You'll work alongside experienced staff in a unit equipped for telemetry, sheaths, drips, and post-procedure care following EP lab and catheterization lab interventions.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a progressive care setting with monitored patient acuity
• Perform post-cath lab and post-EP lab procedures and monitoring
• Manage telemetry, IV drips, and related equipment under Cerner electronic medical record system
• Float to all Medical-Surgical and step-down units as needed to support census demands
• Work four weekend shifts per six-week schedule

Requirements

• Current RN license (state of assignment)
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Charge experience preferred
• Flexible, calm demeanor in a dynamic care environment
• Navy blue scrubs per facility dress code
