ED RN Job in Tacoma, WA

St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, WA is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 9, 2026.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Every-other weekend requirement
• Occasional holiday coverage required
• Weekly pay: $2,546.64

Clinical Environment

• 33-bed ED with 2 trauma bays and 5 psych/seclusion rooms
• Patient ratio: 3–4:1
• 125–140 patients per day
• Case types include stroke, STEMI, trauma, and acute coronary syndrome
• Primary assignment at St. Joseph Medical Center, Tacoma, with potential float to St. Clare Hospital (Lakewood, WA) and St. Elizabeth Hospital (Enumclaw, WA)

Job Responsibilities

• Care for emergency patients across all acuity levels
• Perform lab draws
• Manage ventilator patients
• Chart via Epic EMR

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Ventilator experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• At least one completed travel assignment required
• BSN not required

Additional Information

• One day of floor-specific orientation provided
• Scrub requirement: Navy Blue (top and bottom)
