ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff
• First to float within Region I facilities when needed - additional $20/hour when floated to a non-primary facility
• No floating outside of the ER department
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 depending on acuity
• 32-bed ER unit with 2 trauma bays and 2 seclusion rooms, averaging 125-150 patients per day
• Level IV ER with Cardiac and Stroke Center designation
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac monitor strips using central monitoring station
• Experience with ventilators required
• Charting system: EPIC
• Wear any professional colored scrubs
• Common diagnoses include general ER patients, stroke, tPA capable, STEMI, and major trauma stabilization
• Candidates with triage experience may be required to take a triage test to practice in the triage role
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS
