Med Surg RN Job in Denton, TX

Join Medical City Denton as a Med Surg RN on a dynamic 43-bed medical unit located on the 5th floor. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 21, 2026, offering flexible scheduling and a collaborative night shift team.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekends required
• Self-scheduling available within a balanced schedule framework
• Patient ratio: 1:6 on night shift
• Night shift staffing: 1 charge nurse, 9–10 RNs, and 4 CNAs

Your Role

You will provide direct patient care on the medical-surgical unit and float to the medical unit and ER as needed to support med-surg hold nurse responsibilities. Your scope includes performing procedures related to any type of surgery, excluding cardiac and open neuro surgery.

Requirements

• Current RN license (valid in Texas)
• Previous med-surg nursing experience in an acute care setting required
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Ability to work as a collaborative team member and ask clarifying questions about unfamiliar processes
• Must wear royal blue scrubs

Compensation
