Your Role

You will care for 4–6 patients per assignment with a maximum ratio of 6:1. As a member of the night shift team, you will work alongside 3 other RNs, 1–2 PCAs, and 0–2 sitters. You will perform a full range of acute nursing skills and contribute to a collaborative care environment.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and manage medication documentation in the Meditech EMR system
  • Insert and maintain intravenous lines and urinary catheters
  • Maintain central lines per protocol
  • Perform continuous bladder irrigation and nasogastric tube insertion and maintenance
  • Monitor patients on telemetry and respond to cardiac changes
  • Document clinical findings and care activities in the electronic health record
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and patients
  • Float to med/surg units as needed to support operational needs

What We're Looking For

You must hold a current RN license and have a minimum of one year of acute medical/surgical experience within the past year. Experience with neurological patients—including those with cerebrovascular accident (CVA), transient ischemic attack (TIA), and altered mental status (AMS)—is preferred. A background in neurology, neurosurgery, or orthopedics is valued; however, medical/surgical/telemetry experience is accepted.

You are patient-centered, team-focused, and communicate with warmth and professionalism. You follow all dress code and unit safety protocols, including standard scrubs and use of unit equipment.
