Telemetry RN Job in Orangeburg, SC

MUSC Health Orangeburg is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. You will work 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM) on a 3x12 schedule with every other weekend required. No on-call duties apply. This is a 91-day assignment beginning September 8, 2026, with weekly pay of $1,944.

Role Requirements

• Current South Carolina license or active Compact license required before start date
• BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory; NIHSS preferred
• Telemetry competency required
• 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Previous charge experience and community hospital background preferred

Clinical Details

You will care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including Diabetes, Hypertension, Coronary Artery Disease, Seizure, Cerebrovascular Accident, Transient Ischemic Attack, and Chronic Respiratory Disease. Patient ratios are 1:5–6 across all shifts and weekends. Key clinical skills include cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, heparin protocols, central line and PICC line management, tracheostomy care, wound care and wound vac management, and pre- and post-cardiac catheterization procedures.

Support Services

You will work alongside physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries. During hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams.
