Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Carmichael, CA

Mercy San Juan Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Cardiac Cath Lab. This is a 91-day travel assignment with flexible scheduling and competitive compensation.

Position Overview

You will perform nursing duties in a 2-bed cath lab suite supporting both diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Your team includes charge nurses and cath lab/IR technicians. You do not need to scrub to be considered for this role.

Schedule and Hours

• Monday through Friday, 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Rotating weekend call required minimally every other weekend, Friday 3:30 PM to Monday 7:00 AM
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• Average of 12 call days per assignment, ranging up to 18 depending on staffing needs
• Holiday call on a rotating, assigned basis
• Hospital may cancel up to 3 shifts for assignments under 13 weeks

Clinical Responsibilities

• Support all cardiac invasive procedures (excluding structural heart)
• Assist with peripheral procedures including carotid, A/V grafts, EVAR, and peripheral diagnostics and intervention
• Average of 8 cases per day
• Work within an acute care setting with Trauma Level 2 designation
• Utilize Cerner EMR system

Requirements

• Current RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years cath lab experience
• ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
• BSN not required

Onboarding

Floor-specific orientation is provided for 1 to 2 shifts depending on your skill level. Hospital-provided scrubs are required.

Compensation and Assignment Details

• Weekly pay: $3,600
• Assignment duration: 91 days
