NICU RN Job in Austin, TX

Join North Austin Medical Center as a registered nurse in the NICU for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, caring for 3–4 patients in a Level 3–4 neonatal intensive care setting within our 97-bed NICU unit.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to neonates requiring Level 3–4 intensive support
• Monitor and manage care using Medfusion and Alaris infusion pumps, Giraffe isolettes, and GE cardiac monitors
• Document patient information in the CPN and Meditech electronic medical record systems
• Collaborate with a primarily RN staff team and unit clerk to coordinate patient care
• No on-call requirements; scheduled shifts only

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Prior travel healthcare experience preferred

• Duration: 13 weeks (91 days)
• Start date: November 9, 2026
• Shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, three nights per week
• Weekly compensation: $1,791

• Navy scrubs required
• No nail polish or artificial nails permitted

This is a backfill contract position offering stable night-shift hours in a well-established NICU. You'll work alongside experienced nursing staff in a facility equipped with modern neonatal care technology.
