Respiratory Therapist Job in Fredricksburg, VA

Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Fredricksburg, VA. This is a 91-day contract beginning May 14, 2026.

Position Overview

You will work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week on the night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), including every other weekend. You will provide respiratory care in a dedicated respiratory unit with 140 beds, working with both adult and NICU patients without floating to other units.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate specialized ventilation equipment including Hamilton C1, V60, and Hamilton MR1 ventilators
• Administer CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, and Hamilton C1 therapies
• Document patient care using the Meditech system
• Deliver respiratory support across adult and NICU patient populations

Requirements

• Current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification
• Minimum 2 years of general respiratory therapy experience
• NICU experience is required
• BLS and ACLS certifications preferred; NRP certification preferred. Certifications can be obtained after hire if needed
• Willingness to wear all black scrubs

Compensation and Contract Terms

This assignment offers a weekly pay of $2,181.24 for a 91-day contract. You will maintain a consistent night schedule with no unit rotation, allowing you to build continuity with your patients and team.
