Telemetry RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

You'll work as an RN on a 32-bed Telemetry unit at Mercy Hospital South in Saint Louis, MO. This is a 13-week travel assignment with 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with 36 or 48 weekly guaranteed hours available. You'll earn $2,102.40 per week.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care on a cardiac telemetry unit using EPIC EMR
• Monitor patients with CHF, chest pain, arrhythmias, respiratory issues, renal conditions, and hemodialysis patients
• Manage Amio and Cardizem drips, central lines including HD catheters, Ports, and PICCs
• Float as needed to similar or lower acuity units, including overflow patients with sepsis, urology, surgical cases, and ETOH/drug withdrawals
• Read telemetry and work in a fast-paced, high acuity environment
• Patient ratios: nights 1:6–1:8 (estimates vary)
• Work every other weekend as required by facility; no call requirements

Equipment and Resources:

• Lift equipment, bladder scanner, interpreter iPad, BiPAP monitoring

Requirements:

• Current RN license eligible for Missouri licensure
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA only
• Minimum 1 year inpatient cardiac telemetry experience
• Ability to read telemetry
• Available for full orientation week on day shift before starting nights
• Black scrub tops and pants with Mercy cross logo required
