Med Surg RN Job in Carlsbad, NM

You will work as an RN in the Rehab unit at Carlsbad Medical Center, a 10-bed facility providing patient-centered care in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This is a 13-week travel contract beginning October 26, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• Day shift: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekly pay: $1,900.80
• On-call required; hours vary based on census
• Floating required to Swing, Med Surg, and Stepdown units as facility need and RN scope permit

Your Role

You will perform general rehab nursing duties in collaboration with the therapy team. Your responsibilities include evaluating assigned patients, planning and implementing nursing care with proper documentation, assisting physicians during examinations and procedures, performing patient tests, and administering medications within your scope of practice. You will promote patient independence by establishing care goals and teaching patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills.

• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated if included in your submittal
• 48-hour guarantees are not approved

Requirements

• RN degree
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Fingerprints required for all New Mexico travelers
