Med Surg RN Job in Carlsbad, NM

You are a Registered Nurse joining Carlsbad Medical Center for a 13-week travel assignment on the Medical-Surgical unit. This is a day shift position working 3 x 12-hour shifts, with hours from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide general medical-surgical inpatient nursing care
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6
• Care for occasional non-critical pediatric patients on the floor
• Float as needed and participate in call coverage
• Document and communicate using the MedHost EMR system

Shift Details

• Day shift: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Call is census-based only; you may be placed on call prior to your scheduled shift if census is low
• 48-hour guarantees and blocked scheduling may be accommodated upon request
• Scrubs: any color

Assignment Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start date: November 16, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,217
• Facility: Carlsbad Medical Center, Carlsbad, NM

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
