ED Registered Nurse Job in Brownwood, TX

Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 16, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,452.

Shift and Schedule

• 4x12-hour night shifts per week
• Fourth shift may be scheduled 12:00 PM–12:00 AM or 11:00 AM–11:00 PM
• 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Saturday and/or Sunday)
• One on-call shift required per 6-week schedule
• Self-scheduling available

Role Details

• Patient ratio of 4:1 across all shifts
• Serve diverse age groups: neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Core responsibilities include triage, IV placement and management, phlebotomy, 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation, arterial line management, chest tube management, procedural sedation, blood product administration, dysrhythmia management, intubation, BiPAP/CPAP management, splint application, and ventilated patient care

Requirements

• 2 years of emergency room experience
• Prior travel healthcare experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Allscripts/Altera charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred

• Interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, phlebotomy, and interpretation services
