ED Registered Nurse Job in Wichita Falls, TX

United Regional is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Wichita Falls, Texas. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 2, 2026.

Assignment Details

• Shift: 3x12 days on a 36/48 hour alternating block schedule
• 84 hours biweekly guaranteed
• Weekend coverage required
• Weekly pay: $2,217

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 3 years of emergency nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Ability to manage 4-patient ratios in the ED and up to 5:1 ratios in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU)
• Epic charting system proficiency
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS
• Experience with combined adult and pediatric patient populations in the general emergency setting
• Neonatal patient age group experience required

Clinical Skills and Experience

• Arterial line management and central line care
• Blood product administration
• Care of ventilated patients
• Continuous IV sedation and paralytics
• IV vasopressor administration
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs
• Management of multisystem organ dysfunction
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Triage protocols
• 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation
• Phlebotomy
• Splint application
• Trauma Level II experience preferred

You will support both the Emergency Department and the Clinical Decision Unit, which operates under ED provider oversight. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to function in a fast-paced environment while delivering quality patient care across multiple acuity levels and age groups.
