RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float across all campuses as required
• 23-bed unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Care for orthopedic, spine surgery, and medical-surgical patient types
• Administer Heparin drips
• Scrub colors: black or navy blue solid tops and bottoms
• 24 months of Medical Surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
• Post-op surgical experience in orthopedic, spine surgery, and medical-surgical required
• First-time travelers welcome with a minimum of 12 months of Med Surg experience
• Heparin experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical or Medical Surgical/Telemetry required
• Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• Must work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless unit is closed
• Required certification: BLS (AHA or ARC)
