Med Surg RN Job in Burlington, NC

Cone Health – Alamance Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its orthopedic and medical surgical unit. You will care for adult and geriatric patients on a 32-bed unit, managing a patient ratio of 5–6 patients per shift.

Shift and Schedule

• Three 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float as needed; Charge RN shifts as needed

Patient Populations and Care

You will work with orthopedic trauma and medical surgical patients, including those recovering from total joint replacements, fracture repairs, shoulder repairs, kyphoplasties, and neck or back surgeries. The unit accommodates ED patients at times, including those with high acuity. Telemetry monitoring is available on the unit.

Required Skills and Equipment

• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Wound care, IV management, and blood product administration
• Orthopedic trauma care
• Experience with CPMs, Buck's Traction, and neck and back braces
• Physical therapy gym is located on unit for patient use

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Previous travel healthcare experience required
• Charge RN experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• BLS certification required
• Pass/Fail EKG exam (required for all RNs regardless of specialty)

Assignment Details

91-day assignment starting July 27, 2026. Weekly pay: $2,021.76
