ICU RN Job in San Antonio, TX

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract position. You will work the night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three days per week with every other weekend rotation. This role offers 36 guaranteed hours weekly with no on-call requirements.

About the Role

You will care for patients in a 14-bed ICU with a 1:2 patient ratio. Your clinical responsibilities include managing vasoactive drips, demonstrating strong hemodynamics knowledge, and supporting patients requiring ECMO, CRRT, chest tube insertions, and central line insertions. You must be comfortable floating per facility policy and working with ICU and COVID patients.

Required Qualifications

• Current, active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• 2+ years of ICU experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications
• Proficiency with ECMO NxtSTG equipment

Preferred Skills

• Meditech documentation system experience
• CRRT (NxtStg) experience

Compensation and Details

Weekly pay is $1,674. The assignment begins October 1, 2026, for a 13-week duration (91 days).

Facility Expectations

Dress code requires navy scrub tops and pants with a navy or white scrub jacket. Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited, and body art should be covered whenever possible. Nails must be clean and healthy.
