Telemetry RN Job in Altoona, PA

West Central — UPMC Altoona is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Telemetry unit. You will work 3 days per week on 12-hour rotating shifts, providing direct patient care and clinical leadership to a group of patients and their families.

What You'll Do:

• Manage patient care activities using independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members
• Formulate daily goals and individualized care plans using a holistic approach
• Apply critical thinking to identify clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual issues within each episode of care
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians and other healthcare providers to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Apply the nursing process within the framework of Relationship Based Care to create a healing environment
• Utilize research and evidence-based practice to support improvements in clinical care
• Provide detailed patient and family teaching to guide them through episodes of care and care transitions
• Participate actively in department quality improvement initiatives
• Document and communicate patient conditions comprehensively to ensure continuity of care

What You'll Need:

• Current RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, and PA Act 73 compliance
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• BSN preferred
