ED - Emergency Room

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Variable mid shifts available with self-scheduling options including days and nights (9-9, 11-11, 1-1, 3-3)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Patient ratio of 1 to 4
• Emergency department sees 80-90 patients per day across 24 beds and 3 trauma bays
• Fast track and separate triage area available; travelers may occasionally perform triage
• ER holds are intermixed within the department
• Common diagnoses include trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac conditions
• RNs must be able to read and interpret ECG rhythms independently (no monitor techs on unit)
• Phlebotomy performed by tech or RN
• CT and X-ray located adjacent to the emergency department
• Charting via Paragon EMR system
• Float to qualified units as needed
• Scrub color requirement: Navy
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, ENPC or PALS
