Opportunity:

RN - CICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week with alternating weekends
• Patient ratio of 2:1 or 1:1, occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity
• 16-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU)
• Unit is RN only - no HUC or PCT support
• Travelers are required to float to all areas
• ICU experience required
• Required scrub colors: All Navy or Navy and White - no pullovers or hoodies, no green scrubs except when uniform is soiled at work
• Documentation system: Cerner
• Equipment used includes: Ventilator, Telemetry, Baxter IV Pump, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and Hypothermia equipment
• Must have skills in titration of vasopressor and vesicant medications, sedation, paralytics, ventilator management, tracheostomy care, telemetry interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and PA catheter setup and interpretation
• Advanced skills desired: IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience
• Procedures performed on unit include: Cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
• No certifications required; CCRN, IABP, Impella, and CRRT certifications are appreciated
