Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
• Alternating weekend schedule required
• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1, occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity
• 16-bed cardiovascular ICU unit with RNs only - no HUC or PCT support
• Required scrub colors: All Navy or Navy and White - no pullovers or hoodies, no green scrubs except when uniform is soiled at work
• Documentation system: Cerner
• Travelers float to all areas
• ICU experience required
• Must have experience with titration of vasopressor medications, sedation, and paralytics
• Must have experience with ventilators and tracheostomies
• Must have experience with telemetry interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring including PA catheter setup and interpretation
• Required to work with equipment including ventilators, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia equipment
• Procedures performed on unit include cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
• Desirable advanced skills include IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience
• No certifications required; CCRN, IABP, Impella, and CRRT certifications appreciated
