PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Cardiac Stepdown unit position
• 12-hour shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week scheduled
• Day shift patient ratio of 4:1 and night shift patient ratio of 5:1
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Float within scope to meet facility needs as needed
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers not accepted
• Travel experience required; local candidates not accepted (must be outside 50-mile radius)
• Tennessee or compact state license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Charting system: Paragon
• Required skills include: cardiac telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care and management, chest tube management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), arterial blood gas interpretation, cardiac drip management, post cardiac angiogram care, post MI care, pre and post cardiac catheterization care, pre and post cardiac surgery care, pre and post hemodialysis management, PICC line management, peripheral line care and management, phlebotomy, wound care, and use of rapid response and code teams
• Masimo vital sign monitoring equipment in every room
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, and unit secretary
• Treats adult patient population
• No RTO approved from 2/08/27 through 3/31/27
