Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
• Variable day and night shifts with start and end times of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly with overtime after 80 hours worked in the second week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Can be low censused and placed on call with a minimum call back of 2 hours
• Float to the emergency department within competency required
• Work on a 25-bed Med Surg unit with patient ratios of 1:4-1:5 during day shifts and 1:6 during night shifts
• Provide general nursing care, primarily for geriatric patients with CHF, COPD, and diabetes
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required with ICU and ER experience required
• Strong charting experience required with Care Scape patient monitors, Epic EMR, and Pyxis for medication dispersion
• Current Michigan RN license and AHA BLS required
• ACLS preferred but not required
• Associate degree or certificate required; bachelor's degree preferred
• Any colored scrubs permitted
• Must be located outside 50 miles of facility
