Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work on a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit with a diverse patient population including general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke patients
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of straight medical surgical experience required (not float, not SDU/TELE)
• Level I or Level II trauma experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
• Michigan nursing license required with LARA and Nursys verification
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Demonstrate effective communication through collegial relationships, SBAR, and interdisciplinary communication
• Participate in an active Unit Based Council (Shared Governance) that promotes teamwork and a healthy work environment
• Must maintain strict attendance policy - 3 strikes for absences or being more than 20 minutes late results in immediate termination
