ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Michigan nursing license must be in hand prior to start
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float within service line and scope of practice as needed, including float down in acuity to PCU, Tele, MS/Tele, and MS with ratios of 1:3-5
• Patient age group: Adults
• Staffing ratios: 1:3 on all shifts including days, nights, and weekends
• Medication system: Pyxis
• Epic charting experience required
• Communication method: SBAR
• Patient diagnoses include: DKA, acute alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, respiratory distress, and CHF exacerbation
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must be proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Must be able to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Must be able to provide care for ventilated patients
• Required skills include: arterial line management, central line care and management, PICC line management
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers evaluated on a case-by-case basis
• No local travelers within 50 miles
