Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• Day shift position with 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Contract length of 13 to 26 weeks accepted
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• 12 to 16 weekend shifts per contract required; unit is flexible and willing to discuss with traveler
• Float requirement applies; must be open to floating within or near facility
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated depending on the request
• Up to 7 days of requested time off auto approved (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays; no requested time off during first week
• 2 orientation shifts on the unit following hospital-based orientation
• Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty situations, or disasters
• Patients served are adults with neurological surgical procedures and neuro diagnoses including CVA
• Unit systems include Pyxis, SBAR, and Epic
• Skills required include CVA management, isolation precautions/PPE, telemetry, peripheral line care and management, starting and maintaining IVs, and non-invasive airway management
• Neuro experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS
• Preferred certifications: NIHSS, ACLS, CPI
• Scrubs color: Navy
• NC or Compact license required
