Telemetry RN Job in Overland Park, KS

You will work as an RN on a 25-bed Medical Telemetry unit at Menorah Medical Center, serving patients with renal, urology, oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, and general medical/surgical conditions. This is a 12-hour shift position, working days from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on a 3x12 schedule with 48 hours guaranteed per week. You will be scheduled for at least every third weekend and maintain a minimum of 3 shifts weekly.

Patient Care and Unit Environment

• Patient ratio of 4–5:1 with support from nursing technicians
• Work with standard telemetry equipment including EKG monitors, bladder scanners, Hoyer lifts, hover mats, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensers
• Document using Meditech EBCD system
• Perform basic medical/surgical procedures as part of daily care

Expectations and Certifications

• Must hold current ACLS, BLS, and Basic Dysrhythmia certifications
• Maintain high documentation compliance standards, particularly for central lines, Foleys, C-difficile precautions, and healthcare-associated infection protocols
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and a positive attitude
• May float to similar units including Ortho, Neuro, CCU, CDU, SSU, Obstetrics, and Rehab

Appearance Standards

Dress code requires royal blue scrub tops with royal blue or black pants. Undershirts may be grey, white, black, or royal blue.

Assignment Details

This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning December 14, 2026. You will earn $2,233.80 per week. You are an RN and should be prepared to work independently on a busy unit with clear clinical expectations and a focus on infection prevention and quality documentation.
