Med Surg RN Job in Casper, WY

You'll work as a Registered Nurse on the Medical-Surgical unit at Wyoming Medical Center Central in Casper, providing direct patient care across a varied schedule. This is a 89-day travel assignment beginning September 14, 2026, with 3x12 night shifts at $2,295 weekly.

Your responsibilities include:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments—physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural—and identify discharge planning needs
• Review patient histories, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal findings to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans based on patient-specific needs and multidisciplinary team collaboration, including discharge planning
• Provide direct patient care according to physician orders and the nursing plan of care while maintaining compliance with organizational policies
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed and non-licensed healthcare team members
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching; revise care plans as indicated
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and promptly in patient records
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership initiatives and contribute to improvements in national nursing quality indicators
• Precept and mentor staff to support professional development

Required qualifications:

• Current, valid RN license in Wyoming
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
• Acute care nursing experience within the past 12 months in the Medical-Surgical specialty
• Wyoming DFS clearance
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Passing EKG exam
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
