Med Surg RN Job in Casper, Wyoming

Wyoming Medical Center Central in Casper is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med Surg. This is a travel nursing assignment with an 89-day duration, starting September 21, 2026. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week at $2,295 weekly pay.

Your Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and multidisciplinary team collaboration
• Provide direct patient care based on physician orders and nursing plan of care while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed and non-licensed healthcare team members
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner in the patient record
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and contribute to improvement of national nursing quality indicators
• Precept and mentor staff as appropriate to support professional growth

Requirements:

• Current, valid RN license in Wyoming
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Experience working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in Med Surg
• Wyoming DFS clearance
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Passing EKG exam
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
